Maternity leave
During your pregnancy, if you work or receive benefits, you are entitled to maternity leave and maternity benefit. After the delivery, you will have maternity leave and receive a maternity benefit.
You are entitled to at least 16 weeks leave. 6 weeks maternity leave and 10 weeks maternity leave. The maternity leave starts on the day after the birth. Partners are entitled to 2 weeks paid maternity leave.
UWV
Employers apply for pregnancy and maternity benefit (WAZO) from the UWV. This benefit lasts as long as the leave. Your employer needs a pregnancy declaration for this. You will receive your pregnancy declaration from me at around 16 weeks, do not forget to give it to your employer.
