The birth plan

From 30 weeks, we will discuss the delivery. Do you want to deliver at home, at a birth centre or at a hospital? How, in what position? What are the pain killer options, and what is possible in your situation? What would you like, and will that affect the place where you want to give birth?

Are there circumstance that would make it better for you to deliver at a hospital? Do you want support from your own family or friends? Now is the time to think about that, to be informed and to make decisions.

Your choices about the delivery will be recorded in your birth plan. You describe your wishes and expectations regarding childbirth. It is intended for your midwife and other healthcare providers. The birth plan shows what is important to you. The person who supervises your delivery can take this into account as much as possible. Read more at
